Mona Dukess

Making paper by hand - with lines, forms and colors all imbedded within the fabric of the paper - has been a constant in the art of Mona Dukess. Her content has long been based on botanical forms.

The most recent works show a shift in focus as drawings and compositions, still organic in nature, become more abstracted. These pieces show a mature artist who does not hesitate to explore innovative techniques as she pursues new creative possibilities in the service of her art.
